When Ulysses saw Trinity working her magic all by herself, he couldn't just leave her alone. Coming up behind her, he wrapped his arms around her, to temporarily take over and stir the pot, his breath hitting her neck with each exhale. "Your wrists must be tired, love, how long have you been stirring?"

Trinity felt the solid body behind her before she even realized why he was there. Leaning back she let him take the wooden spoon even for a few moments, rubbing her wrist. Her hand and arm hurt and it took a second to flex her fingers in and out so that she wasn't making the grip that she had been all day ease.

"Oh god, I don't even know....what time is it?" It had been at least ten hours that she was simmering and working the spell. The virus that had taken over the nearby town had gotten bad and she was working the spell and tonic to ease it for them. She'd been doing so for decades...secretly of course. For the delta, the town was shockingly healthy. Though for anyone who knew the true owner of the old house, it was hardly a mystery at all.

"I just need to get this done and into the water supply." She leaned her much smaller body completely back into him, as though if he took a step back she might fall flat. "How was your swim?" She asked, gently rubbing his arm.

Kori was bouncing off the walls from excitement when dinner came close to being ready. The family were all together, chatting about boring adult stuff while he and Rela were playing, and the smell of the pumpkin soup made him restless. When his father was finally done, Kori was right by his side, eyeing the soup as if it were his prey.

“Spirits above, Kori, don’t make me spill this,” his father warned, setting the soup gently on the table while Kori practically hung on him. Gramma Uli set a cake down next to the soup, and Kori began vibrating with excitement even more.

“Sweet Ordona, I think he’s about to explode!” Colin chuckled, walking over to the table to help set things up.

“Yeah, I think so too, and there’s gonna be an accident if he doesn’t calm down.” His father dragged Kori away from the table as he reached for the food, and the little twilian pouted at his father.

“I just wanna look at it,” he said, making his eyes as big as possible.

“Yeah sure ya do. You can’t look at it until everything’s ready though.”

“But whyyyyy,” Kori leaned towards the table while his father nonchalantly held him in place.

“Sweet spirits above kid, I’ve never seen anyone get this excited about food.”

“Oh, Link,” Gramma Uli started, giving Kori a smile, “what’s there not to be excited about? There’s soup and cake! Though I am sorry that the cake has no icing this year, Kori.”

“No, ma it’s a good thing. I think Kori would literally explode if there was.”

“No I wouldn’t!” Kori shouted, and the family all laughed. His father dragged Kori back over to where Rela was playing, and sat him down.

“Just stay there ‘till things are ready, ok Kori?” His father insisted, and Kori pouted again, glaring at his goat plushie Billy. He was ravenous now from the smell of dinner, and it was driving him mad. The door opened and Kori saw grandpa Rusl enter the home, and he jumped up and rammed into his grandpa’s legs.

“Ow– good goddesses Kori!” His grandpa yelled out as he nearly stumbled to the ground. Kori only buried his face into his legs and gave him a tight hug.

“Papa isn’t letting me eat my fooooood,” he complained, his voice muffled in grandpa Rusl’s pants.

“Oh?” Rusl quickly recovered from nearly having his legs taken out and gave Link a smirk. “Well that’s not fair, it’s his birthday.”

“Dinner is not ready yet, pa!” Kori’s father rebutted. “And the soup is piping hot! It’ll burn his li’l tongue off and he won’t be able to eat anything for the rest of his life!”

Kori gasped and looked up at Rusl in horror.

“Will it really?”

Rusl rolled his eyes. “No. I mean yes your tongue will burn but it’ll be fine after a day. Quit scarin’ your kid Link!”

Yung pag uusap natin kanina, paulit ulit nang nagpe-play sa isipan ko. Pero dahil makakalimutin ako, baka mamayang gabi lang eh wala na akong maalala sa mga sinabi mo sa'kin. Kaya habang natatandaan ko pa lahat yon, isusulat ko na lang dito. Para kung sakaling hindi ko na maalala, may babasahin uli ako. Well, paulit-ulit kitang aalahanin hanggang sa wala na akong maramdaman.

Kakatapos ko lang sa registrar nun, nang makita kita na kumakain sa canteen. Pinag-iisipan ko kung pupuntahan pa ba kita? Baka maging awkward lang ako. Pero last ko na to eh, kailangan ko nang lakasan ang loob ko! Ok! Pumunta ako sayo, sabi ko - Patabi ako ha! (Ang pangit ng pagkakasabi ko huhu), at umupo nga ako sa tabi mo. :)

Tinanong mo ako kung kumain na ako, sabi ko hindi pa, di pa ako tapos sa ginagawa ko eh. Tapos tinanong kita kung ikaw lang mag-isa ang kumakain? Wala kang kasabay? Sabi mo nauuna kang kumakain, para may bantay pa rin sa library kapag lunchbreak. zkung ganun, araw araw kang kumakain mag isa? Naisip ko, pwede ba kitang sabayan araw-araw sa lunch? Muntik-muntikan na rin akong mag-Yazaki, kung hindi lang pasmado yung kamay ko, malamang nandun pa rin ako hanggang ngayon. Sakto, magka-batch nga tayo! 2012 yun nung pumasok ka dun, at muntikan na rin akong tumuloy dun. Kung nagkataon, malamang nga magkakilala na siguro tayo dati pa. Pero sabi mo, buti hindi ko itinuloy, kasi hindi worth it yung sweldo dun, sobrang nakakapagod. Kaya ka lang tumagal kasi na-absorb ka, at marami ka nang kaibigan dun. Sabi ko, buti na lang, napagdesisyunan mo pa ring mag-aral. Sabi mo taga-Maynila ka talaga. Tinanong ko kung may mga kamag-anak ka ba dito? Sabi mo oo, yung tita mo. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, dun ka nga nakatira sa tita mo. Medyo natuwa ako dun kasi meron na tayong similarities, hihihi.

(May sepanx pa rin ako sa pag-aaral, mas gusto ko pa rin na nandito ang mundo ko sa school kesa nasa 'real world'). Sinabi ko rin na sina Jovi, wala pa ring naaapplyan, wala pa sa amin ang nagtatrabaho haha. Sinabi ko na nakakabagot nga ngayon eh, wala akong ibang ginagawa, buti ka pa, nandito sa school araw araw. Sabi mo, gusto mo na sanang mag-quit sa pagiging SA, kasi fourth year ka na. Kaso di mo maiwan si Maam Eve, kasi para mo na siyang nanay (awww). Sabi ko oo nga, wala na rin si Chin eh. Kung magkataon si Lei at Abi na lang ang nandun. Tingin ko kayang kaya mo naman na mapagsabay ang SA at pag-aaral ngayon :)

Tinanong mo ako kung ano bang gusto kong trabaho. Sabi ko sana yung sa mga concerts, kasi yun ang pangarap ko. Kasi gusto ko yung nag-eenjoy ako at feeling ko hindi ako nagtatrabaho. Pareho kami ni Abi ng landas na gustong puntahan, hehe. Pero sa ngayon, wala pa akong kaplano plano. Tinanong kita kung anong career ang gusto mo pagka-graduate. Medyo na-shookdt ako sa sagot mo ha di ko inexpect yon! Sabi mo gusto mong maging musician. Kaso ayaw ng tatay mo, kasi hindi ka nga naman yayaman dun. Natutuwa talaga ako na musically-inclined ka, kaya pala. Kaya pala. Tinanong ko kung anong klaseng musician, kumakanta? Tumutugtog ng instrumento? Sabi mo nagbabanda ka nung high school! Sabi mo nag-lie low ka ngayong college, kasi ayaw mo na maging famous sa school, ayaw mo na maraming nakakakilala sayo. Alam mo ba nanghihinayang ako, kasi sayang ang talent bes. Dapat ipinagmamalaki mo yun sa lahat! Pero naisip ko din na oo nga nu, kung mas maraming makakakilala sayo sa school, mas marami rin sigurong magkaka-crush sayo. And.. ayoko non hahahahaha! (Ang selfish ko sa part na to) Pero idc, mas gusto kita na nasa Library lang, and yun din naman yata ang gusto mo, yung hindi napapansin ng mga tao.
